On Saturday, October 31st, 2026 Halloween at the Old Log Church in Schellsburg, Pennsylvania, Coltt Winter Lepley and special guests present an evening of historic folk songs: ghosts, murder ballads, and strange occurrences.

For Mature Audiences Only (12+): at the ticket holder’s discretion. Due to the graphic nature of some of the murder ballads and the evening in general, we recommend ages 12+ for the listening experience. This is not a haunted house attraction, though it does deal with mature/”Scary”/and disturbing themes and the material will be handled with respect.
A portion of the proceeds benefit restoration efforts to the Old Log Church.
SEATING IS FIRST COME FIRST SELECTION. The upper deck area has an obstructed view, with some seats offering ONLY an audible experience without direct view. The event is a listening experience, however.

THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
This is not a costume party, though we do encourage Halloween inspired outfits i.e. all black, funerary attire, or anything appropriate for a listening room show. Due to the nature of the event and the musicians playing acoustically with no amps or microphones, we ask patrons to Please be quiet and respectful during performances, readings, and the entirety of the show.
1). We encourage folks to bring a flashlight or use their cellphone flashlight for the walk in. Though we will have some luminaries to light the path.
2). Dress appropriately according to the outside temperature. There is no heat, and no AC in the church. If it is hot, wear deodorant if applicable. You will be sitting close to others.
3). There is no electricity in the church. That means nothing can plug in, and the performance will be all acoustic. That means again, Please be quiet and respectful during the event.
4). There are no formal bathrooms, though an outhouse will be present the day of the event.
5). No drugs or alcohol are allowed at the event. You may bring water bottles or small snacks.
6). Handicap parking will be located nearest the church. We ask all other folks park in the directed areas.
7) Upon online purchase, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Upon arrival, have confirmation email up on your phone. It will act as a ticket. We will also have a purchase list with names at the door, where you will be asked your name and how any tickets you purchased.
